I recently stayed at Arawa Park for a weekend getaway, and it was just what I needed. The room was spacious and had a lovely balcony with a view of the racetrack. The heat pump kept the space cozy, and the private spa was a good touch. The friendly staff were amazing, and it was great to have ample parking available. the hotel's convenient location made it easy to explore nearby restaurants and shops.

Impeccably clean and silent unit with a spa bath and an aircon. Unbeatable, excellent location in the nice area.

Exceptionally comfortable and attractive place, I greatly enjoyed pleasant personnel.
The breakfast spread was particularly good and free, with good choice of well presented options. The room was cheap and silent, it had a tasteful decor. Location: the hotel was right by hot pools, gardens, town center and the racecourse...

The bed was super comfy, and I loved the spacious room with plenty of windows. Sure, the decor felt outdated, and the breakfast wasn't the best, but the location near the geysers was a bonus, and parking was easy. Just a few quirks here and there!

The size and comfort of the room. Its relative proximity to the Events Centre
The linen and bed covers were tired and need replacement. The towels also need to be better quality with the ones provided consigned to the pool area perhaps

This is a good modern hotel in a very big building. The units are comfortable quiet and well priced with awesome views of the race track. The services are very good, including an amazing pool. Moreover, guests can use parking outside.

The kitchen area was lacking, with just two glasses and no plates or cutlery. The lukewarm beverage bar offered only tea bags and instant coffee. Amenities were sparse-a hot water kettle, no minibar, and the restaurant closed for dinner, leaving an evening without refreshments. A spa bath with non-functional jets and outdated room service hours also contributed to a feel of decline in what once seemed vibrant. Basic breakfast options didn't elevate the overall experience.

The room was very spacious and extremely comfortable.I particularly enjoyed the activities on offer-gym, heated indoor swimming pool and sauna. The walk into Rotorua took only about 10-15 minutes, so the location of the hotel was perfect.

The staff were efficient, respectful and professional. The sheets and towels were clean.
I was disappointed in the level of presentation of our room. We have heard of Rydges and chose to stay there as a treat. Admittedly we got it for a good price but we still expected quality or we would have stayed some where newer for the same or less and nothing advertised in the 'deal' indicated we wouldn't get quality. The room was tired looking which I can understand happens after a few years but I expected an outstanding level of cleanliness - the room needed dusting, the white shower curtain was very dark and mouldy at the bottom, their was a huge stain under the bathroom sink, the tray holding the information books was coated in dust, the bathroom floor had stains on it and the room curtains need washing as they smelled musty.

My partner and I recently stayed for three nights at this hotel as a little getaway after months of being at home. The location is perfect, with easy access to various attractions. We enjoyed a spacious Deluxe twin room with a kitchenette, a lovely balcony, and a spa bath. The breakfast was a good treat, offering plenty of hot and cold options. The staff in the breakfast area were friendly and attentive, ensuring we started our days on a high note. Free parking was also a huge plus.
Do recommend this hotel.

The family room had plenty of beds for everyone, comfortable for our stay. The size of the room itself was a positive. It felt spacious. Cleanliness was a big concern-there were stains on the sheets and the bathroom seemed dirty. The shower lever came off easily. We also noticed a lack of basic kitchen amenities like plates and cutlery, which would have been helpful for our family. The most unsettling moment was receiving a late-night call asking for payment details. This overshadowed some of the positive aspects of our stay.

Liked the dedicated rooms with smoking balconies. Friendly staff.
The hotel is a bit "tired". Some carpet in the lobby has stretched.
